Title: Vietnam War

Grade Level(s): High School (particularly U.S. History classes and 11th grade American Literature classes)

Description:

The focus of this lesson will be to introduce students to Vietnam and the culture of the Vietnamese people, to help them understand the Vietnam War and the United States' involvement in it, and to stress to them the importance of using primary sources in their own research.

The display includes copies of photographs taken during the Vietnam War, maps showing the location of the country, and copies of photos of Vietnam today.  In addition to the tri-fold board, I have displayed library books on Vietnam , a POW bracelet, and a North Vietnamese flag that was taken from a captured village during the war.
